The ‘Eclipse’ opening roof is a unique awning/patio system which gives you the flexibility to control the elements. With its simple touch button control pad, the louvres rotate through almost 180 degrees so that you can shield the rain, or catch some of the winter sun.

The ‘Eclipse’ opening roof has a uniquely designed louvre that provides complete protection against the elements, including rain. Even in light rain, the louvres can be left partially open and the water will drain away in the contours of the louver.

The louvred system is constructed of extruded aluminium and 316 stainless steel components which have been designed to provide a high level of resistance, even to corrosion.

The louvres are rotated from sealed shut to almost 180 degrees by use of a small 12 volt DC motor which is controlled via a interior, wall mounted, touch button switch plate for ease of use.

Traditionally, grey & bronze style tints have proved most popular as they still enable you to see through the roofing sheet and admire the surrounding environment, however recent colour additions such as “smooth cream” & other opaque styled colours provides stylish options which can potentially match your existing home, along with added benefits of decreased heat transmission.

Corrugated profiled Polycarbonate roofing sheets can be combined with Colorbond roofing sheets to assist with reducing light and/or heat transmissions.

Available in either a pitched/gabled or sloping roof formats, the main consideration to remember is that polycarbonate requires a minimum of five degrees roof slope. Why? This ensures that the rain water will run off efficiently and not pool on the roof.

This roofing sheet sees a number of distinct advantages over not only other roofing sheets/materials but alternative insulated roofing sheets.

The roofing sheet is actually a roof and ceiling in one, capable of spanning up to six meters and strong enough to walk on. It is ideal for add-on leisure and entertaining rooms, patios and carports, with impressive insulating properties for year-round climate control.

The roofing is available in a range of thicknesses with made to order lengths up to 9000mm. The panels are 580mm in width, featuring a top & bottom skin of high grade 0.42mm G550 S2-AZ150 steel with expanded polystyrene (EPS) between. This is a closed cell, lightweight plastic material, modified by the addition of flame retardant additives.

It has excellent insulating properties and is moisture resistant, providing superb temperature control all year round. The polystyrene not only insulates, but also eliminates the problem of condensation and with it the inevitable mould and mildew.

The optional addition of nature lite panels enables light to softly penetrate the area underneath the patio cover, whilst not dramatically increasing heat.

All of our timber decking used is hardwood – not treated pine, which gives you a more durable deck, along with increased Colour options and the aesthetic qualities of hardwood timbers which give the decking boards uniqueness & individuality.

Our decks combine galvanized steel piers that include built in ant capping – again, long term confidence with long term durability.

Framing options include the ‘Colour Span Exterior Flooring System’ – Colorbond steel, treated pine & traditional hardwood joists & bearers, the choice is yours, but you might need to consider your material requirements due to your Bushfire zoning.

Handrails are an integral part of the deck & are required where all floor levels are over 1000mm high. Options include Aluminium framing with vertical uprights or even glass, timber framing – ranging from hardwood with horizontal stainless steel wiring to traditional timber slats with decorative infill’s.

Screening can be combined to sides of the deck to provide a little more privacy, especially if you deck is set a little off the natural ground level. Powder coated aluminium can give a modern look, or alternatively hardwood timbers can be customised to blend into the remainder of your timber deck.
